«Candela» is a tribute to the flamenco soul that burns in the most intimate corners of a village. On a stage that evokes a gypsy settlement at dusk — sheets in the wind and a central fire standing as an altar to all that has been lived — the women of that settlement dance memory, strength and the everyday life of a tradition passed on through the body and the heart.
Deep cante and flamenco guitar merge with movement in an intimate space where everything is born of truth and of root.
«Candela» comes from the wish to recreate the atmosphere of a tablao with a soul, where flamenco appears in all its presence and intensity, with no scenic artifice. Inspired by the flamenco tradition of the Sacromonte in Granada, the stage space is conceived as a gypsy village: humble, luminous and charged with emotion.
