In 2016 a new chapter began with the creation of Compañía Flamenca Rocío Pozo.
Since then I have developed a number of productions that have travelled to theatres and festivals across the Canary Islands and mainland Spain, as well as international projects.
Mujer, Olor a Sal, Candela, De Jerez a Gran Canaria and LUNA are part of that journey, among other shows.
The company pursues a creative line of its own within theatrical flamenco, with productions conceived for theatres, festivals and cultural institutions both in Spain and in international markets.

LIBERTÉ
The Awakening of the Self
LIBERTÉ is my new stage creation project and marks a new chapter in the company’s journey.
The work reflects on our disconnection from what is essential. A physical journey through exhaustion, fragility and inner struggle, all the way to the possibility of reclaiming what we have been losing along the way.
It is a production by Compañía Flamenca Rocío Pozo, co-produced with the Teatro Pérez Galdós and supported by the TEMUDAS Festival.
It premieres on 26 September 2026 in the Main Hall of the Teatro Pérez Galdós.
LIBERTÉ brings together five performers and live music in a piece that combines flamenco and contemporary dance. The music has been created specifically for the show and all the lyrics are my own. The choreographic proposal comes from my artistic direction, with the collaboration of guest choreographers.

LUNA
LUNA is currently part of the company’s repertoire and continues on tour.
A sensory journey in which dance, music and prose intertwine to bring Lorca’s obsession with the Moon to life. A tribute to the poet whose fate was tragically sealed on a moonless night.

Rocío Pozo Dance School
At the Rocío Pozo Dance School we work on ballet, Spanish dance, sevillanas and flamenco, across different levels and ages.
My way of teaching starts from something very concrete: technique, discipline and body awareness.
I want students to understand what they are doing, improve their coordination and acquire the tools they need to dance with confidence and independence.

More than three decades add up to a great many classes, rehearsals, stages, journeys, students and shows.
They also add up to learning a craft, and to discovering that an artistic career is not built on a single show but on many years of work.
Today I keep developing the three parts that have defined my path: teaching, creating and dancing.
